New Updates and Possible Changes

Today on the CIT news blog, I will be discussing the recent updates to CIT and the possible changes that could happen in the future. Since our last update (which was way too long ago considering we are a news blog) we saw a new server being added for VIP players. This server has numerous advantages like 10% job payment increase, the old Drug Shipment with higher rewards for escape, drug labs, less lag, free main chat, jobs located in Los Santos, and a smaller player count. Since the release of the new server called S2, it has seen player counts consistently under 100 players, but the people who play there really seem to enjoy the different style of CIT it has to offer. Since the server was released Arran reduced the minimum hours of VIP you can buy to 14 days instead of a month so more players can experience the server. He also created a command to turn VIP hours into S2 hours. 1 VIP hour can be turned into 3 S2 hours. If you have not tried out S2 yet I highly recommend that you do.

There have been a few smaller updates I want to talk about. Due to a new MTA update, we are now able to choose our walking style at the gym. Unfortunately, some of the skins are buggy and others allow you to sprint with heavy guns like the M4 and the SPAS. Other updates include a /comics command which allows you to view Dikhoofd's comics in-game, a more powerful sniper rifle, higher capacity AK-47 mags, and the automated quiz prizes were lowered. CIT has seen a lot of strides in development in the last few weeks, and we can only hope the developers keep doing a great job. You rock developers!

The last topic I want to discuss today is the possible changes we could see in the future. There has been a lot of discussion on IRC and the forums about creating a new server, S3, for civilian workers. An old developer who used to be known as Tyrone has returned to CIT under the name of JTPenn. JTPenn created most of the old civilian jobs when he was active, and now he has shown interest in creating a new business system, possible new jobs, and a separate server for civilian workers. A separate server would eliminate the civilian work force population which can reach around 100 players in peak hours. Eliminating the civilians from S1 would allow San Fierro to be used for Cops and Robbers, a second turfing city, or we may not even know yet, it opens up many possibilities for our server. The server looks like it has a promising future ahead of it, and it is a great time to be a CITizen.
