Dusty's Interview

Dusty’s Interview

1.      What’s your real name and country of residence?
My real name is Leon and I currently live in Germany

2.      What inspired your in game name?
Well, I've used to have another name when I used to play on SAMP. That was "Canappa". But due to people bragging about its weed relations, in case it is a street name for marijuana, I've decided to change my name. I guess Medal of Honor 2010 mostly inspired my choice because one of the main characters was named Dusty.

3.      So how does SAMP compare to MTA? What made you switch?
Back then when I changed, I've had been playing on a "hardcore RP" server for almost over a year. I basically just got bored of SAMP and took a break. Somewhere in April 2011, a friend and I decided to try out MTA as we've heard a lot of good stuff about it. So yea I kind of liked CIT. About the differences, one might be that the chat boxes are different, but I guess that depends on the server configurations. About servers: There are a lot more RP servers on SA: MP than on MTA, I guess the only real RP server I can think of that is on MTA is Valhalla. SAMP-RP RU is kind of popular there I guess they have like 6 servers with an average player count of 700

4.      Do you have any hobbies?
I used to play basketball in a team for like 6 years until last year. We've played in junior leagues. Besides that I am supporting my fellow local football team Borussia Dortmund at any time and at any point. I am also playing guitar and piano, producing some self-made shit with friends

5.      How long have you been playing CIT?
I've joined the server in late April 2011.

6.      How did you discover CIT?
Well basically some friend of mine and me heard about it somewhere and yea decided to check it out. We've joined CIT because it had the highest player count (like 110 at that time)

7.      What are your real-life ambitions and goals?
I am currently planning to move to Argentina in September, joining a social project over there. Then after the project I plan on becoming a pilot for a commercial airline.

8.      Tell us about how you plan to become a pilot, what have you done in preparation so far?
Well besides playing Flight Simulator 2004 and shit, I've attended an information event hosted by Lufthansa, a major German airline, last year. Basically I will apply for a apprenticeship place at their flight school after my social year.

9.      What did you like most about being an admin?
Being an example for players in case acting as a good example for players and keeping the server clean from rule breakers.

10.  What is your favorite memory of CIT?
Founding the FBI and the day when the FBI became an official group.

11.  Do you have any in game goals?
Keeping the FBI alive I guess.

12.  Biggie or Tupac?
Absolutely Tupac, I am currently listening to Untouchable

13.  Describe how you became an admin for the first time
I was an air force major at that time, somewhere in late June 2011. Staff applications were open back then, I've never really bothered applying for staff because I didn't expect that I would fit into the team. But then Andre, another air force member, convinced me to apply. I became a Trial staff on 23rd June 2011, thanks to Arran.

14.  Describe your time in the Air force for us
I've joined them somewhere in late April 2011, quickly became an Airman Basic, that was the regular member rank back then, and yea made it up to Major within 2 months. We've had a lot of great people in there, especially BlackS, the General of Air force at that time.

15.  Tell us about why you got kicked from the staff team a few months ago
I guess I am not allowed to tell much about that as I would leak internal staff information. Basically it was because of my inactivity back then.

16.  Tell us about how you were involved in the beginning of SAPD
I guess it was Anon who came up with a major reconstruction of the police on CIT and as SAPD was pretty much the struggling flagship of the police back then, I've decided to join them as a Chief. They didn't have a lot of members at that time, so I started recruiting some people. Other achievements for the SAPD during my time include: a first base, merging with PAM, although that didn't get us any advantage besides an awesome leader, Chique.

17.   Tell us about your experiences with the FBI
I decide to found the FBI on the 9th December 2011. Rick (co-founder) and me simple got in game and started shouting in the main chat: "FBI is back - in game applications inside the LSPD". We've recruited a lot of good guys then. I guess even xb0x joined then. Arran gave us a /fbiadd command a few days later so we were able to use the FBI job. But due to people complaining about this because we were only a week old, we decided to abandon until we get an own forum board. So, 2 months later we got an own forum board and even vehicle markers. In order to get the vehicle markers, we made a pretty neat deal with the SAPD which got them the Government job as well. We decided to abandon the command until we got our own forum board.

18.  What do you see yourself doing in the future in game?
I guess I will continue to lead the FBI, that’s pretty much it.

19.  So do you ever see yourself leaving the FBI?
Highly unlikely.

20.  Do you want to return to the staff team in the future?
Maybe

21.  Who is your best friend in CIT?
xb0x

22.  What is your favorite cereal?
SpecialK (Kellogg's)
