All explosives are disabled outside LV!

The CIT Committee agreed to disable all kind of explosives outside LV, like satchels and nades. From now on, none can use nades outside LV. The reason of this is because of all the trollers that used to throw nades and kill alot of people and not get wanted level because of a bug. A nade is also very risky. Even if your purpose is to kill let's say a criminal or a cop, there may be other people around you that also gets damaged.

First committee meeting finished! See what was agreed

Today, the CIT committee had its first official committee meeting. The committee agreed on making a new map for the Bank Robbery, more known as BR. Everyone, even you can make your own map suggestion for BR.

There is more cops in LS than criminals, something the committee wanted to change by giving criminals more stuff to do in LS than just the bank robbery and the drug factory. If you have ideas on what more criminals can do in LS, just post it in Server Development. Here is the ideas the CIT committee came up with:

1. Drug truck delivery ( You have to deliver a truck and all criminals must protect it, law will try to attack this truck )
2. Pimp Job
3. Train Robbery
4. Graffiti 
5. House rob improvements ( Add weapons and drugs along with cash as reward )

Also the drug availability is not good. The committee therefore had to think of ways to put more drugs in the game, and this was by giving drugs from house robbing.

The ammo prices are too high, and it's becoming too expensive for criminals in Las Venturas. So everytime you kill a person in Las Venturas trying to turf or defend. It calculates how many bullets you used to kill that person, and gives you back a small amount of that weapon depending on how many bullets you wasted.

The committee agreed that there are not enough events in the server. Therefore new events was discussed:

1. Hunger game event
2. Trick or Treat Halloween weekend event ( Go to a house and click a button, get 1 - 3 free drugs per house. Maximum houses you can Trick or Treat everyday is 50. ) On Halloween.
3. Olympics ( Every 1-3 month. It lasts ~3 days and consists many kind of games and 'sports' ).
4. Island last man standing
5. Counter-Strike on CIT

Note that above are what the committee agreed on. It is not 100 % guaranteed that everything written above will be added to the server!

Increased payment for criminals in drug factory

As of today, criminals will get an increased payment in the drug factory. The new increase gives them 20 drugs for every successful escape and 25 drugs for every kill inside the drug factory. That's a two-fold increase on every successful escape and 25 % increase on every kill.

The reason of this increase is because cops gets extra money when they arrest the criminals after they escape. Also, cops do not have to go to jail. In an interview with Rick, one of the developers behind this, he said:

I hope to achieve that criminals and cops will both win once in a while, trying to make it balanced. Because if one of them totally massacres the other, then nobody will attend. But you should know that the payment won't get increased anymore.

Many criminals were complaining about the bad payment. Time will tell us if they will continue to complain. Do you think the drug factory is more balanced now? Comment your opinion below!

With the introducing of the new jail courtyard players were able to escape from the prison with outside help of helicopters, but that didn't completely work as the criminals would have wanted... Enjoy!

The CIT Committee

                                                         

Recently, our founder, Arran came up with a new idea.He wants to bring together people from different sections of the community, sothey can come up with ideas on how to improve the server. This new committee willbe called the CIT Committee. The committee meetings will take place in thechannel #conference on CIT IRC server, where committee members discuss andvotes about their opinion on various ideas. The committee conferences will be heldpublic, this means that everyone can join the channel and watch the conference,but only committee members can speak.

Not everyone can be part of The CIT Committee. There’slimited amount of slots for every section. Totally there are 13 slots whichconsist of 4 criminal representatives, 4 law representatives, 4 staffrepresentatives ( L1+ ) and 1 QA representative. People from Honorables,Development Team and Major Contributors will also participate in the CITcommittee. However they don't have to get voted in order to get in the committee. Each section has itsrepresentatives that will vote for the good of the specific section, but aboveall they must vote for the good of the server. The committee has no power, butthe decisions they make will most likely be carried out.

The CIT Committee however has no vice members. Thatmeans if a committee member can’t participate in the next conference / meeting,there won’t be anyone ready to replace him. The section he represents will thenhave one less voice.
