Gus's Interview

Gus’s Interview
1.      What’s your real name and country of residence?
Gus Lower.  Country: I live in Germany, from the USA though.

2.      How did you think of such an original CIT name?
At first my name was Sandy, but players started thinking I was a girl. So I changed it to my original name.

3.      Do you have any hobbies?
Yea, I like playing sports such as Football. Gaming and just chilling with friends.

4.      How long have you been playing CIT?
Ever since it was in closed beta

5.      How did you get invited to the beta? Not many people got to experience the server in the beta.

I knew lots of players that were invited to the beta, and they then asked if I could join it. Arran then gave me the password, and I joined.

6.      How previous servers you played on were compared to CIT?
Well I only played on one other server before joining CIT. It was just like CIT was in the start. That was only natural since Arran made the other server I played on before starting CIT.

7.      What are your real-life goals and ambitions?
One of my major goals is to become a cop of some sort. Preferably an FBI agent.

8.      What did you like most about being an admin?
I liked working with some of the older players in the community. Also just being able to chill around and help people was pretty cool.

9.      Favorite memory in CIT?
Becoming admin for the first time.

10.  I happened to see that first staff application, how on earth did you get accepted after spamming CIT by advertising another server?

I didn't expect to get accepted. I only applied because a few friends told me I should, and I thought, hell why not. Then when people actually started saying yea, I actually tried to help as much as I could.

11.   What caused you to advertise for that server anyway?
Honestly, there was no reason. I was being immature. Thankfully I have grown since then.

12.  What are your in game goals?
Only one now, and that’s to have the most hours.

13.  Tupac or Biggie?
Tupac

14.  What is your favorite cereal?
Fruity pebbles.

15.  Tell us more about the incident that caused you to leave the staff team.
So, there was a fuss in the PA alliance chat. I called some player "Gay" and he reported me. I didn't say sorry and Arran made a post saying that it seemed like I didn't care about the server anymore, and demoted me for not apologizing. That and some of the staff calling me biased for not promoting them. The drama is just too much to go through for a game, so I left.

16.  16. Don't you think staying on the staff team to fix the issues would have been better for the server instead of abandoning it?

Well yea, thinking back now I would love to be back on the staff team; at the time though I had just had enough of all the drama.

17.  Do you ever see yourself returning to the staff team?
Do I ever see myself returning? No, I was told that I wouldn't be back on the team. Who knows maybe in the future? But right now, naw.

18.  It seems you have been on the forums, IRC, and IG a little; do you plan on becoming active again?

More active than I was a few weeks ago, yea. I won't play like I used to though.

19.  Tell us about the founding of NSM.
Founding NSM was hard in the start. It was just me. The only reason it got to be where it is, is because Chuck and Pac-Man. Without them I'm sure NSM wouldn't be around right now.

20.  Why did Pac-Man and Steve leave staff at the exact same time you did?
Pac left staff a few weeks before I left, I don't think he liked it much. Steve left when I did, as I am the one that got him playing MTA/CIT in the first place. And he said since I wasn't playing anymore that he wasn't either. The choice was up to him.

21.  What is your opinion on NSM leaving PA?
Well, I wanted NSM to leave PA for months before I left. I was the one that had the vote on us leaving PA, and was happy to hear when my leaders agreed on it. It did leave NSM a bit weak, and we did lose lots of members. It's nothing we can't recover from though.

22.  Do you think NSM has been lowering its standards recently?
Honestly, I do, but at the same time we have some great members. Though we are working to get better quality members.

23.  Why was NSM so quick to create a new alliance with a gang that almost died?
I wasn't on when the alliance was created, but one of my leaders had the idea, and the other group had the same common enemies, and they started it. It seems to be working fine for now, so I just accepted it. We'll see how it goes.

24.  Who is your best friend in CIT?
Best friend on CIT, would be Steve.
